ZenFlyArt by John Piacquadio
John Piacquadio's body of work is mostly sumi-e influenced brushed ink with fluid movement (brushes used made by John out of fur and other natural materials), reflecting his passion for water and fascination with the idea of the creative muse, the interior paramour, the universal unconscious… terms describing the idea that the artist only is a conduit of a higher creative force.
He translates the fly or fish onto paper using a minimum of brush strokes - abstractly capturing the spirit, without representing too literally. The majority of John's art is that of either fish he's encountered or the flies he used to catch the fish. John utilizes this method for painting a myriad of subjects including horses, monsters, landscapes, people, esoterica, and mental illness… OR whatever a client challenges him to create.
